  A full and fruity nose, a little wood and sweet tar. Colour is dark and rich. Very smooth in the mouth, tannins have a very fine grain and there's a chocolate aspect which is delightful. Mid-plate is fast and slightly bitter, leaving a dry finish which is over too quickly. This wine is delicious on the nose and up front in the mouth, but the lack of a finish stops it being great. 88-89pts.

  Dark, rich and very fruity. Aromas like a Christmas cake with sweet fruits, prunes, raisins and plum. Liquorice and pepper on the palate.
