  Garnet colour. Elegant, soft, mellow, fresh, crème de cassis, plum, smoke, tobacco, minerals. Not a very bold Pomerol, rather subdued. Fully mature, mellow tannins, but still good grip. Easy to drink. No need for further cellaring, drink now.

  Still youthful to the eye, and lots happening on the nose: black cherries, brambles, vanilla, raspberry ripple. Fresh, balanced, though relatively short. After a while there was a balsamic vinegar note that suggested a bit of VA, so perhaps not in pristine condition. Would otherwise have merited a high 80s score. Still quite appealing anyway.

  Decent colour and plenty of sweet, attractive fruit on the nose - black cherries to the fore but with a nice sour cherry component lending further complexity. Nice weight and balance in the mouth and good length

  It is a good quality wine with a good enough flavour intensity and finish and some degree of complexity, however both the flavour intensity and the finish could be more pronounced. In addition the wine is a bit bretty, but not much. Drink now, it has enough tannic structure and some fruit concentration to be kept 1-2 years more, but it does not seem to be going anywhere.

  drunk on an italian food night with some friends. decanted an hour before. drank quite smoothly but taste did not stick in mouth. bit disappointing.
