Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium amber colour, with fading rim and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of stone fruit of apricot, dried fruit of sultana, green fruit of ripe apple, citrus fruit of orange marmalade, mineral notes of tar, sweet spice of ginger, maturity notes of honey and hay. The wine is developing. Palate: Sweet with high acidity, the wine has low alcohol, medium (-) body, with medium (+) flavours of stone fruit of apricot, green fruit of ripe apple, mineral notes of stony, citrus fruit of orange marmalade, maturity notes of honey, dried fruit of sultana. The wine has a medium (+) finish. Conclusion: Very good quality German Riesling with an intense nose showing good complexity, the wine has good sweetness which was balanced by the high acidity to make it refreshing and elegant without any hint of cloying. The wine is in good balance, with finesse and showing nice concentration as well as length on the finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for another 5-7 years.

Riesling tasting (Nectar Wine Bar): Lovely golden color; nice nose with slight botrytis, Apple, some petrol; palate is medium bodied, slight signs of aging with some nuttiness with only minimal oxidation, aged fruit, medium acidity; medium finish. Overall nice complexity but ready now, not one to age much longer. 88

Nose not very intense but with good complexity and some metalic(?) notes. Finish not very long. Well made but nothing exciting. Drink now.

German Wines on Sale and a Few Older Rarities from Dee Vine Wines (The Morris, San Francisco): Half bottle. Golden color. A quick burst of honey on the attack, and then the concentration and flavor fade away quickly to lay bare a finish of soil but not much fruit.
