  • Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Summer 2022 Edition: Tasted blind.
Deep golden color. Beautiful Mosel Riesling nose with some passion fruit.
On the palate clearly a declassified Auslese. Creamy, dense, sweet, lots of cotton candy and candied fruit. Good balance and harmony. No noticeable botrytis, very clear and precise fruit. Long, sweet finish. 92

  • Did not decant. Young, filled with lime, apple, slate - a wonderful bouquet that immediately draws you in. It coats your mouth with lots of tropical fruits and apples with a nice long finish, and it has nice acidity to balance everything. This is really enjoyable. My first wine from this producer - I have heard great things, so I picked up a few bottles and I was not disappointed. I will let my remaining bottles rest for a while and see how these age over several years. I would imagine my score may go up with time, but I don't any experience with this producer to state for sure.
