  While on opening this wine required 3 hours in the decanter to truly come to life it then showed a dark colour with a transparent red cherry tone and a classic nose of black fruits lifted by a touch of Asian spice and limestone. The palate is quite rich yet finely elegant with a layered texture to the black fruited characters leading into a nicely spiced and mineral finish. A good example of Petits Monts.

  This wine remains darkly coloured with a transparent red cherry tone and a nose of black and red small fruits lifted by a touch of Asian spice and limestone. The palate is finely elegant with a nice texture to the predominantly red fruited entry that is followed by a finely mineral finish. This is an elegant version of Vosne Romanee with very good shape and persistence. Its perfect for drinking now but has enough underlying depth to hold for several years.

  Clean, intense and complex nose with aromas of pure fruits (darker cherries & cassis), animal scents and a fresh floral component reminding me of red roses. Autumn forest with a put out camp fire in the distance. The palate delivers all the promises made by the nose. Intensely flavoured with silky entry, some mid-palate power and a beautiful long cherry finish. Drinking well now and should improve further for 5 years. Excellent!
