11 years old and tasted like 15 or 20. Golden color, not yet brown. Not yet sherried. But on its way. Interesting, complex flavor, which I actually enjoyed in many ways, though not what I expected at this stage. Apples and a nice toastiness but the fruit has otherwise largely faded and the acids have decayed. Past its prime.

Correct colour, lively appearance; citrus and wool on the nose, hint of wood, floral topnote, good depth; nice balance and acidity on the palate, juicy fruit and good intensity, lovely mineral edge and a savoury quality; good length. Good bottle.

Showing very well, no sign of premox, pear and citrus framed by the lightest touch of oak, good acids, good length, just what I’d want in village Puligny. B+/A-

Better than the previous bottle. Fully mature, firm core of steely acidity, fruit of apple and lemon curd, hint of wet wool, salty minerality, slightly rustic wood, good length.

(Paul Pernot Puligny-Montrachet) Nose of mineral, hickory and some apple. Elegant and concentrated palate with great purity and a mineral/lemon-tinged finish.

This was a lovely Puligny Montrachet, but then I have never been disappointed by a Paul Pernot wine.
