  • Lyle recommended this at Chambers St. The best probably was the green bottle - I thought he was joking when he said it was a rose - looked more like a riesling. Gorgeous pink salmon color. Flowers on the nose. Peaches and cherries dominate the palate and a nice crisp citrusy flavor cleans things up. Dry, clean and refreshing. A good summer rose. QPR is just OK.

Rockss and Fruit

(Salwey Weissherbst Rose Kabinett Trocken) The nose had lovely Pinosity with delicate red fruits and some minerals. The palate was big and concentrated with nice thrust and great depth. There is a long lingering finish but not quite the finesse I was looking for. Savory and gamey. I liked it but did not love it.

(Salwey Weissherbst Kabinett Trocken Rose) This is perhaps the wine that the Salweys are most famous for inside Germany. An elegant floral nose with lovely ripeness. The palate has high, crisp acids and is very concentrated and dry. Long clean finish. I can see why this is a local favorite. Very easy to drink
