  From Winderlea Anthology Club shipment from late in 2016. Great example of an Oregon pinot with some age behind it. Light in color, still nicely aromatic with notes of cherry, forest floor and nutmeg/cinnamon spice. Very solid on the finish. Served with Cajun salmon, brown rice, and white asparagus with herbs de Provence. The mellowness of the wine paired very nicely.

  Decanted for 2 hours prior to drinking. The wine had a nose of white pepper, leather, cranberry and tobacco. It started out extremely spicy but during the course of the evening the fruit came on full bore, black cherry and black cap raspberry with a nice smoky finish and still a bit of acidity to balance it out. I think this was at it's peak and the winemaker also said it was time to drink the 2006's.

  This was a very nice bottle. LIght garnet in color with tart cranberry, raspberry and some woody aromas. The flavor was smooth with sweet red fruits balanced nicely with tart acidity. Nice finish too.
