  • Interesting. Not a classic WIllamett Valley PN smell. As it is from Umpqua Valley - o.k. Almost a cab feel too it. Not as feminine as other orgeon PN we have had. Bigger and bolder. Diane thought - is it a cab? Some forest earthy aromas, but also a tight, in your face fruit/menthol/pine/licorice flavor. Tart cherry and big overall taste. Cherry Jolly Rancher? Maybe too big for us? 14.7% abv. Might need a different food a pairing? Dont get me wrong - it is a great glass of wine. Just not what we were expecting. We would pair it next time with a Pork Loin with a fruit reduction sauce or big chunk of salmon of the grill.
