Drank over two days. Gorgeous tobacco on the nose. In the mouth, savory and full bodied with sour acid and very long finish. It feels like it will become more balanced with more age but very nice now if you're not looking for something fruit forward.

A serious wine that is still quite primary, although drinking relatively well. There's a lot of material (and tannin) here and this will, no doubt, be a wonderful wine with due age. The balance is excellent and there's a nice interplay of the finesse of Boillot and the more down-to-earth spirit of Nuits. Note to self: hold for 5+ years.

Pop and pour. This bottle showed beautifully, with nicely balanced savory red fruit, acid, thistle, and nuttiness. Drink over next few years.

Almost juicy, and very fresh. A bit too acidic to be truly harmonious, but a very lovely wine more at home further north in the CdN.

Dark and seductive PN aromas with spices, candies and forest floor. Smooth and delicate in the mouth. The 2006 tannins are melted here.
