On an evening with friends for dinner where we served: 2012 Jonata El Flor sauvignon blanc, this Winderlea, a 2007 Ramey Pedregal, and a 2011 Jonata El Alma cabernet franc; the surprise of the evening was the Winderlea. It was floral on the nose; elegant and focused on the palate with an extremely long and lingering finish. The group enjoyed all four wines, but the Winderlea was exceptional.

One of recent bottles received through Winderlea's Anthology Club. Not sure what to example- 2006 was viewed as an OK vintage in Oregon and it was Bill and Donna's first vintage. Served as the first of three bottles with friends- the other bottles were bigger reds. This was the star of the night. Impeccably smooth and balanced, still good nuances of cherry and raspberry.

Medium ruby in color. Big, expansive nose of raspberries and cherries with a bit of earth. The palate is very expansive with loads of fruit, silky soft tannins and a long lingering finish. Perhaps a bit high in alcohol, however, this does not detract from the wine. A beautiful wine. and one of my favorite Oregon pinots.

The WOTN, no formal tasting notes, but remember everyone talking about the long finish and complexity of this wine.

Beautifully crafted start to finish. Not the best QPR, but very enjoyable Oregon Pinot from this new winery.
