Disapointing, especially at $18.00. Had at a tasting ans there it seemed fine. At home something was very different and not in a good way. Tossed the 3/4 of the bottle.

Brilliant pink in the glass. Nose can be described best as light, smelling of strawberries. The flavor is kind of like strawberries doused in the juice of a number of under-ripe limes, with the unfortunate addition of some earthiness. The acidity from the lime notes is overpowering, lingering in the mouth.
I literally could not finish a glass, and neither could my girlfriend. We poured the remainder of the bottle down the sink.

Rating this with a number wouldn't be fair as this is my first Tavel. I have only California Rose to compare to. That being said, THIS Rose is on a different level. When I popped the bottle a little frisante escaped from the bottle. The bubbles continued on taste around the tip of the tongue. Strawberry on the palate was complemented by a great acidity. Complex this is not but balance at it's best comes fourth. I enjoyed with a light chicken meal and a hot day.

Decent rose, strawberry, herbs, though a bit simple it was a crowd pleaser.

Delicious crisp strawberry, clove, herbs de provence with a firm acidic finish and a savory quality.
