  My favorite of the wines tasted at Del Dotto today with a complex bouquet that I could have smelled all day long. Notes of red currant, rhubarb, cherry, spice and rose petals. Full-bodied and young, but very approachabe with bright fruit and plush, velvety tannins. Flavors of red currant, berries and spice, with a long finish. Barrel: medium toast. $85.
