Gorgeous and pungent black fruit, flowers, anise, minerals and violets. Deep and velvety with balanced supportive acidity and rich mouth feel. Long and lush; in a prime zone!

Lighter color and much more open than the '99. You can really taste all the way through this as it's lighter but very elegant with a lovely complexity on the finish. Delicious and ready now.

Night at the Bulls Game: Popped and poured. The nose started off a little angular, but after about 20 mintues it all came together. Notes of red cherry and cranberry with touches of floral, mineral and clove. Nice mixture of flavors on the palate with decent length. Though after another 20 minutes or so it seemed to start falling apart and some unappealing earthy tones began to take over. On to the next glass...

Slight water at the rim, no bricking in the color. Sour cherry nose, a little acid-y. Subtle nose. Sour kirsch flavors. Nice, tasty, but not overly long. Towards the 'subtle' end of Burgs that I've tasted. Nice wine, tasty, happy to be drinking it, going down smooth.
