Agree with earlier note saying this is a Cab drinker's Merlot. Does have the vegetable notes I typically think of with Merlot. Excellent finish. I don't think it will gain much more with aging.

Made with only Merlot from the Petricka and Sangiacamo vineyards in Sonoma, this wine is aged in French oak for 18 months. Deep purple in colour I found blueberry, blackberry and mocha characters on the nose. The palate was mouth-filling, supple and tasty. Dark berry fruits, morello cherry, toasty oak and a long smooth finish. 90 points.

Shall I say it, amazing? Very surprised. With the club discount this was perhaps the best 24$ Merlot ever. Unlike the people in the movies and on the internets, I love Merlot. Maybe 2006 was a good merlot year in the valley. Amazing finish without that bitter youngish taste.

Velvety smooth. Similar impression to my earlier TN.
