immediate Dill notes with ptrol, the fruit and sweetness slightly overpower the acidity, which makes this, though very powerful, not the chiseled, thrilling example of Mosel Spat that I would have hoped for

PnP, chilled, but better with some air. The color was a clear light straw yellow. Aromas of orange, slate, and a touch of petrol. The palate showed Mandarin orange, some pineapple, just a bit of tart grapefruit and a touch of minerality. The finish was medium plus with a touch of citrus pith. The acidity was nicely balancing, and the wine was just a bit less sweet than one would expect from a Spatlese. I would expect this wine to hold for several more years.

David Bowler "Rudipalooza" - 2007 German Wines (tribecca): power, more power, some slate, more fruit, more power... this is a very serious and complex wine but right now its too tight to judge. will need decades.
