Medium yellow with a creamy texture, presenting nice ripe pears and honeydew melon flavors. Nice backbone, plenty of acidity for balance, overall very elegant and nice.

One of the better chards I've had from California. Purchased at the Mendicino wine shop. I asked for a nicely oaked chardonnay without a lot of malo butteriness, and that's exactly what I got. Fairly Burgundian in style. Rich, almost dark tropical fruit on the nose with vanilla and oak. Balanced on the palate with good length on the finish. Not cloying, not 'oak' ='Tar', not overdone in any way.

Only 6 weeks after first bottle and nothing new to add. Very good.
