  • The wine is a bit past its prime at this point. Dark red with granite colour on the edges. Fine sediment. Floral nose, with dark fruits. The brambly aromas are a bit more prevalent now.
Full bodied without being "heavy", decent balance, medium acidity, medium dusty tannins. Good dark berry fruits to open. Plums, hit of garigue/herbs. Tar (?) and a slight bitter streak to the finish.
Medium length on finish. Tasty but on the downside.

  • Dark red, black core --- Nose cardboard, some cherry, some sourness, wheat --- Palate cool, thin, red fruit, nice tartness, sour cherries, some herbal aspects, some earthiness --- Finishes long on cherry fruit, minerals and earthy tones, sourness always present. This is nice vine, appealing and captivating, everything pure and expressive, still appears young, excellent acidity. A pure pleasure after 8 years of cellaring. Might even improve.

  • Complex - dark fruit, oak and earthy smells. Fantastic Malbec - why trave l to Argentine? Delicious wine, good balance - pair with food our on it's own. Looking forward to my next bottle.
