Oddly, I was going to use the phrase "cardboard mess", but see that I already did that a couple of months ago. Looks like I've got 7 bottles of drain cleaner left in the cellar.

Bright red bordering on dark. Nose of cherry and spice with a hint of wood. Good depth, bright cherry fruit gushing out of this beauty framed judiciously with spice. Less restrained than a Burgundy but quite beautiful with foie gras/roasted pear and venison loin. Medium plus finish and the fruit did not quit. Very very enjoyable.

Time to drink up on this one! In a really good place, showing pure fruit with cola, spice, and wood nuance in fine balance, no rough edges. Lengthy finish, and a beautiful food companion. Give it just a touch of air time for best results. A great effort from a rather underrated producer.

Not as "cardboard" as prior outings. A pleasurable pairing with burgers.

Starts out pretty strong....I was encouraged. Quickly turns into an oaky, cardboard mess in the glass.
