  Found this in my cellar and decided to open it on a whim. Just about 10 years past its drink date and 20 years old. Good color, no bricking. Candied cherry and lavender on the nose. Tannins gone, but with dark cherry and earth flavors, there is surprising life in a 20 year old Corbieres. Thankfully, my last bottle, but wow.

  I love this wine and I'm sorry that this is my last bottle. It has such a elegant feel and is so well balanced with plenty of rich black bramble berry, but a lovely dry finish on a light, silky frame.

  GUSTATIF: Belle attaque, bcp de présence avec des fruits et une bonne structure. Les tanins ne sont pas agressifs pour autant. La finale est encore meilleure que l'ensemble. Elle donne à penser aux Bordeaux

  What a difference a bottle makes. I had this wine last week, and it just did not taste good to me. Hot, overoaked and bitter, and just unpleasant overall. This bottle was very tasty. Nothing inspiring, or thought-provoking - just big wine, with concentrated fruit to balace significant oak. The more I drink wine the more convinced I am that judging a wine is impossible - all you can judge is a bottle.
