Translucent cherry red with some early bricking. Warm (in an inviting and not alcoholic way) but nuanced, cinnamon-spiced nose of lemon, limeade, sweet red cherry, eucalyptus, and vanilla. Bright, lithe, and light in weight, with pretty, well integrated acidity from start to finish. A slightly camphorlike development, along with the previously noted hint of eucalyptus, is the only mark of 2004 greeness to be appreciated here. Finishes dry but with an absence of bitter tannin. In fact, the tannin here is supremely elegant. Super effort for the year.
