A relatively standard, possibly above-average aussie syrah, which is very fragrant, showing blackberry and vanilla aromas, and a fruit-laden, but not syrupy palate. It wasn't hot, but did feel a little thick and disjointed - could've given a smoother delivery. Definitely a step up from stablemate Strong Arms.

nice baked black berries on the nose w/a lil pepper, bitter chocolate and some smoke. On the palate there were the black berries, some good acids, a very fleshy, lean wine. After a couple of hrs of decanting there were a lot more sour cherries and coco but the alc was a real detractor. Was really good w/chicken and black bean tacos but once we started sipping alone the alc kinda took over. I do like this style of Auzzie shiraz w/more acids and fleshy, lean fruit but not the alc.

Not too much to get excited about here. Oak and generic stewed fruit.
