Not sure where to position kiwi riesling. Miles away from the ultra dry Australian style and the Germans always seem a better bet when you want the off-dry option. Medium depth golden yellow in colour, probably a fair representation of the age, and the nose shows some some citrus and kero. Palate is a bit of non-event and to be fair the wine might just be in a flat stage. Early residual sugar sweetness give way to a flat and fairly generic dry fruit flavours. Much drier that the nose suggested. Nice balanced acid right through the palate.
