Typical Grüner Veltliner nose: green apple, spices, flowers and hints of apricots. The initial attack is very fruit driven, but then quickly fades to give way to a strong mineral component on the midpalate. Good density, but it comes across a bit unfocused and broad, with an almost soapy mouthfeel. I am missing the extra punch here that so many GVs have. For €7 it is a solid wine though. Drink now through 2011 - 86 points
