I can't fault this bottle for what it is. It's ripe, yet balanced and gives a lot of satisfaction across the board. The nose is rich with sweet toast red fruits and lots of vanilla. The palate is initially dry but turns sweet on the mid-palate and although it has a candied feel to it, there's still a fresh and vibrant rush of red fruit. The finish is long. I enjoyed this wine with a Padron Churchhill, which made for a great pairing.

Decadence in a bottle with a nose like cooking s'mores around a campfire while sniffing a single serving size pack of sunkist raisins. The palate follows suit with black currant, cinnamon and dark chocolate. A little heat is perceptible but the palate actually shows balance with vibrant acidity which saves this from becoming an over-the-top mess. The finish is long and tastes of toasted coconut. It's a time and place kind of wine.

NYE 2008 - Fabulous. 60 min decant. Had bold luscious fruit taste with cinnamon & cumin mixed. Loved it!
