The bottle was removed from the fridge and allowed to warm a bit. When opened, it showed a medium+ golden color (not a good sign) and was clearly oxidized on the nose and palate. Bottle was purchased recently from Hart Davis Hart Retail in Chicago. I, for one, have not had the best of luck with Chablis (grand & 1er cru) vintaged from about 2004 to 2008, most especially with Wm. Fevre.

A wonderful expression of unoaked chardonnay. Served slightly chilled (ten minutes in the glass at room temperature from the fridge) - plenty of structure to keep going for 3 or 4 more years, but drinking wonderfully now. Good value for money and highly enjoyable.

Some crushed oyster shell, lemon, tangerine and medium to long finish. Very pleasant.

Chablis Table, Quick Tasting:
Very Mineral/Seashells+Flint. Nice fruit intensity, ripe acidity.
Conc: the Smokey Flint is coming through in spades, this is a wine to show what flint in a chablis taste/smells like it amazing
