  • Found yesterday in a corner of the wine section of the grocery store and thought "why not?" PnP at refrigerator temperature. No sediment was observed, and the cork was in great shape with only 5 mm or so of soak. Presents as a very pretty golden color. On the nose, though, I agree with other reviewers that this is past prime. The nose is dominated by a funky aroma of fermenting apple cider. However, there are also pleasant secondary aromas of green pineapple, floral aromas, and shellfish/ocean beach. On the palate, there is butterscotch and rubber up front; this is something we've only experienced in over-the-hill Riesling. The midpalate is the high point with subtle flavors of lime peel and chalk backed by perfectly balanced medium acid. The finish is long and sees a resurgence of the rubber flavor.

To repeat: this is definitely past prime. Try it now if you have it in your cellar. Don't go out and buy it at this point like we did. Because of our silly mistake, we give it no rating. At least it was fun to try!

  • Dug this out of a forgotten corner of my cellar and figured may as well not let it go to waste. Definitely past it's prime, but kind of interesting...

Clear, bright, medium gold. Nose of buttery bread, greek yogurt, candied banana, and apple cider leads to lemon curd, canned pineapple, and kiwi on the palate. Dry with medium acid, alcohol, body. Medium- flavor intensity and finish.

  • I suspect this wine has past its prime. Generic at best; no fruit and flat flavor.

  • Nose of bread yeast, sweet straw, and vanilla. Not overpowering. Dry palate with a good mouth feel, a bit buttery. Mild acid and light sweetness. No identifiable fruit, but lilac notes. Still good, but on its way out.
