  Decanted 1 hour. Not as impressed with this wine as I was a year ago, when I thought it was too young. Perhaps it is still too young? Seems overly bitter to me...Beautiful nose or red and black fruit, with some barnyard. In the mouth, nice fruit, VERY spicy, but with a very long, yet acidic finish, that is somewhat unpleasant. Not sure if this is VA or just the wine's evolution. Tannins are still holding strong and drying my mouth, so this may still need a year or two to come around.

  Friday Night Flight (Cork - A Bottle Shop, Portland OR): Clearly the Wine of the Tasting for me, and others in my group. Incredible mouth-coating fruit, jammy, but not overbearing. Licorice, cigars, raspberries, blueberries and chocolate flavors all mixed together, hitting different parts of the tongue. Absolutely delicious!
