Fine, showing some signs of premature age (and perhaps suspicious handling). Loose in the mouth and hotter than I would expect. Just missing the mark in terms of the structure, but a fine overall drink.

I bought this on a whim from W L in 2010, drank the first bottle 1+ years later and it was corked big time! Now, 3+ years later this wine is singing my song. HOT upon P&P, within just a few minutes it became approachable and even enticing. The eucalyptus on the nose is predominate, but after being open 1-1-1/2 hours, this is not an Oz grenache, IMHO. There is just a whole lot more going on in this wine. Sorry to only have 2 left, which I would LIKE to let age a few years to see how they change.

This was an odd experience. The nose initially come across as hot but then turn into a minty/eucalyptus quality and the finishes with some cherry cough drops. The palate is similar. An initial rush of medicinal heat has me ready to go open something else. Then it mellows into some cherry cough drop notes and finally into something that is lip smacking good. As the finish is really good, I keep drinking it, but it doesn't really change. Overall, I like this wine, but it is strange. Still seems youthful and perhaps in an awkward place right now. I liked it on release.

Sweet nose with a good nose of Oz eucalyptus. Surprisingly balanced on the palate, with an uplifting dose of acidity to brighten up the fruit, which has good depth. Intense but light on its feet. Medium long finish. Not a fruit bomb, but lots of flavor. Good pairing with New Mexico Green Chili Cheeseburgers.

This is actually paired really well with our meal tonite - homemade ancho BBQ pulled pork, pepper & green pepper cornbread, and southwestern corn. This bottle was much less alcoholic from our first. A nice nose with a hint of black cherry and strawberry. The body was a very nice a blend of berries and vanilla. The finish was really not there. But overall a pleasant surprise.
