The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Rich & Dana's): Deep garnet color. Initially I detected what I thought was VA, or at least a plastic/medicinal quality. It blew off leaving cassis and blackberry notes, though very reticent. Firm tannins, with flavors of balckberry, cassis and herbs, turning slightly austere on the finish.
I decanted this briefly for sediment, and returned it to the bottle which sat open for about 5 hours before it was tasted.

(Gilbert Cellars Claret Estate) A Left Bank lookalike claret that definitey overdelivers at this price point. Sturdy tannins blanket soft black-cherry and watermelon fruit. Graphite notes carry through a long, silky finish. Terroir: Wahluke Slope

Drank this one a couple weeks ago. Really nice red blend for the price. Tobacco, dark berry, fine tannins. Satiny.
