    mouth - lemony, drinks clean and pure, touch of smoke, lacks power. we were all a bit underwhelmed.

  • Vino lisergico. Aperto un paio d’ore prima di berlo, al momento di servirlo gira già a mille, ma dopo un altro paio d’ore nel bicchiere quasi ti aggredisce il naso con la sua intensità e complessità; c’è tutto, una nota citrica iniziale, le spezie dolci, la pietra, foglia di the, fragranza, ogni sorso è diverso, vorresti non finisse mai. Bocca immensa, lunga, con quella nervosa acidità minerale che dice tanto Chevalier oltre a una freschezza ancora importante, che accompagna alla grande la ricchezza del sorso. Uno dei miei migliori bianchi di sempre.

  • From magnum. Double decanted approximately 2 hours before serving. Needed longer! Colour was darker than I would have hoped for. Masses of dry extract and quite a lot of oak sweetness on the nose and palate, especially initially. Acidity was nicely integrated. Big, powerful wine. Took a couple of hours with the remainder of the wine sat in the glass for the oak sweetness to recede and the fruit to come through. Shame I couldn't risk waiting another decade!
