Really excellent. Cork completely disintegrated upon opening which has been a common theme. Balanced, and some of that sweet green pepper pyrazines that make this savory and interesting. Solid finish.

My last bottle but I remembered the cork issue. As expected, it crumbled but the wine was delightful. I have one 2007 left to try soon. Always a treat; this time with steak.

As with many AW wines, the cork crumbled, but the seal was good and the wine unspoiled.
It has been stored in 55 degree cellar. Beautiful color, bouquet of dark fruit which bore out on tasting, and smooth on palate. Mellow tanins which were well integrated and yet provided a sturdy back bone for this wine.
I believe this wine has 5-7 more peak years. Sadly, we drank it all and have none left over to determine durability!
I am a big fan of Andrew Will. This lovely wine confirms my affinity for AW wines.

(Andrew Will Ciel du Cheval) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-the nose is immense; a citrus orange peel; very bright black raspberries; very candied; it smells delicious; PALATE-very candied; just a hair too candied for me, but most would like; it has good acidity; good freshness and good tannins on the back-end; well made; clearly delicious; most would like; a little hint of mint on the back-end; has tremendous weight (I want to chew it); a little sweet for me, but most would love; JM-93; ST-93; WS-92; GV-91

Cork disintegrated but wine was great - proper mature Bordeaux blend. A little short on the finish but all good.

Dense fruit, black, red with a bit if spice. Seems young still. I thought it would be a little tamer and mellowed, but still big wine.
