Clean, Dark purple, Medium to full bodied, masculine and robust. Multi-layers texture with very firm and fine tannin. It is a mroe concentrated version of its Village version of Gevrey Chambertin 2001 , but with more defined aromra profile, including blackcurrant and cherry. Very balanced oak. Long Finish. Very good wine for its price.

With roasted duck. This had an interesting and expressive nose. Ripe and a little fruit forward for burgundy, but with some Gevrey loam and mushroom smells also. Picked up a minty note with air. Nice balance between the structure and fruit. Black fruits mostly with good concentration. While this leans towards the more concentrated and masculine style, the mouth feel and tannins have some elegance. No overtly noticeable oak. Very enjoyable.

Nice fruit, some oak, modern but still pretty recognizable as a Gevrey.
Good with roasted duck and wild rice.
