  • Somewhat developed translucent ruby red color. Developed, fragrant nose with fresh red forest fruits, some pruney fruit, a little bit of fruit liqueur sweetness and a dusty hint of pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, dry and savory on the palate with rather modest acidity and very mild, mellowed tannins. Nuanced, delicate flavors of ripe cherries, wild strawberries, some strawberry jam, a hint of cranberry sauce and a touch of sous-bois. Quite dry and pretty long finish with mild yet nicely layered flavors of red berries, some smoky earth, a hint of savory wood and touch of tannic grip.

A pleasant and enjoyable Pomerol with lovely lightness and sophistication. Not a big nor remarkably complex effort, but still pretty much alive after +30 years. Great balance and lovely developed flavors. Very nice on its own but paired quite nicely with casseroles and white meat as well. Only 12% of alcohol gives the wine nice sense of freshness. Priced according to its quality at 43,90€.

  • Lovely ripe and rich nose, delicious Merlot, rather light on the palate but with nice oak and lovely length.
