  • Possesses everything I love about white Burgundy. There is a sense of terroir here. It's reductive at first whiff, a hint autolytic, but it quickly shifts to elegant notes of lemon oil, fresh herbs, brown butter, and wet minerality. Mid-bodied, energetic, and velvety in the mouth, with bottle age complexity, vibrant acidity, and a ripe, gentle richness that picks up quince, lemon pith, and crushed rocks on the buttery finish. Solid all the way around.

  • Light golden color, noose is a bit closed with citrus fruit, and pear notes. The palate is lithe with green apple, pear and citrus with mineral notes on the finish. This wine has nice balancing acidity and is drinking right now for such a young white Burgundy.

  • I've been so impressed with '06 white Burgs. While still young, this is indeed approachable, and darn good. The nose is probably the only subdued element in this wine right now. The palate is rich and creamy with grilled pears, asian spices, enough oak and vanilla for complexity, but not over the top. Refreshing blasts of acidity throughout. Wonderfully balanced, this one will last quite a while. Hopefully in a year or two, the nose will open up to a complex delight.
