  • Nose of leather and dark dusty fruit. Smooth tannins and deep, dark dry, earthy fruit. This is a nice wine. Only problem is I don't have any more. Good value.

  • Cuvaison seems to excel in Merlot from their Carneros site and various cabernets. I believe this winery has not progressed as others in the valley but this wine is quite good. Chocolate and purple berry fruits on the nose, the wine is fully integrated and drinking well, perhaps at peak, today. Very fine, well integrated tannins, notes of prunes, evergreen, hints of oak all framed with a good acidity that makes it drink well even at age 6. Long a value in Cali merlots, this wine is a keeper.

  • What a great smooth, well balanced wine. Great nose with several fruits, oak and a hint of licorice. The tannins are great and the finish is long. I am glad I have a couple more bottles of this wine, I can't wait to see how they develop over the years.
