  I will gladly come to this wine's rescue; it is far better than it has been made out to be thus far. When we had it at a tasting it struck us as just a solid value drinker and we bought two bottles. Upon drinking the first bottle, however, it proved more distinctive. Somewhat lean, but with nice balance. Good acidity made it extremely food friendly and it matched a Southwestern quinoa soup well. Lip-smacking tannins give structure but are by no means astringent. A tasty bargain.
