A decent WA state Viognier. Nice citrus, vanilla, and banana. Some oak, but not as much as I thought with the way Whitman throws it at their reds. Light body with a medium finish.

Was nervous about the oak when 1st popped but it wasn't as big as I had thought. Typical viscous viognier mouthfeel. Some nice florals and fresh herbs, decent structure. Not as good as past vintages but nice to see the oak is integrated.

This had been open for two days so things were fading a bit. On the verge of too much oak for my palate. Banana peel, pineapple, lemon, some sage and misc other fresh herbs, maybe the tartness of a grapefruit in there somewhere. Made me want a spider roll or some other fried seafood. I've enjoyed Whiman Cellars Viogner a lil more in the past. I still really dig the huge viscous mouthfeel. Have one more bottle to recheck down the road.
