Drank this at Tunglok Signatures at Central for dinner with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: Wines from 2006 Australia.
Second time drinking this wine and it certainly did not disappoint. Big and powerful but delicately balanced and suave. Like a smooth gentleman working his magic on a bunch of school girls, this wine is appealing, attractive, astonishing, and absolutely amazing.
Wine ends with a long, lingering smooth finish. An absolute delight to have.

Opened this wine at Bedrock Bar & Grill with my best friend to celebrate a birthday. We had the Jamon, Roasted Bone Marrow, Bedrock Mac N’ Cheese, Bedrock Pepper Steak, & Ribeye Cap Steak.
Decanted for more than an hour before consumption.
Wow. Just wow. Quite breathtaking, to say the least. Full of bright red fruits in a tightly wound package, packed with energy and finesse. Elegance coupled with power.
Delicious!

[Blind tasted] I mistook it for an old Cote Rotie. From a very small (1 ha) single vineyard from 1898 (!) in Barossa Valley. Very complex, brilliant nose: cured meat, smokiness, licorice, cherries, with an impressively long finish
Fruity and rounded in the front, with a dry finish. Ripe berries, some apple, maybe a touch of tannin still, interesting to see what another 5-10 years does to it.
