  See my previous note; two days after the wedding of my daughter I tasted the last two glasses with friend Dion and they showed more depth.
  In the nose a whiff of mint was added and in the midtaste there was more complexity with minerals as tea and iron (positive).
  So you see, also an older vintage often needs a lot of aeration.

  At the wedding of my daughter Esmée (born in '85); light in colour (but lively), lovely smooth, positively fragrant, quite refined, loved by everybody, but for me a bit undistinguished; still a succes at the wedding dinner combined with the cheese.

  In between Xavier and Richard; the wine shows remarkable vivacity and a balance between ripeness and fresh notes. The colour shows the same, ripeness but no brown rim; the taste is a bit jammy, but not too. The aftertaste is quite long and balanced. This all together for € 22 at auction; I'am a contented port lover.
