  Perhaps a score of 93 may not do this wine justice as it was a very yummy wine. The trick to this wine and many aged riesling is not to consume it too cold, in fact, just below room temperature would be ideal.
  
  Entering its drinking window now, the colour is a glowing yellow-green, always a good clue that it is a quality wine. The nose has developed a hint of toastiness but the fruits are still there - lime / citrus. The body has developed into a slightly creamy texture with ripe apple, pineapple and a long minerally finish.
  
  Drink now or to 2030 as it still has plenty of acid and shape left.

  Yum, that's all I can say. It was so delicious, so i just got on with it. Fresh, mineral, stone fruit, citrus, rose, hint of saw dust. Worked wonderfully well with quality nigiri, which was hard to come by during lock down.

  This is very good indeed. Strong petrol nose as soon as it was opened but this moderated with time in the glass and gave way to citrus/herb character. Lime (with some lemon) lemon citrus on the palate together with apricot stones (and perhaps a hint of fennel). It opened as it warmed but remained dry but remarkably fragrant, with good fruit and acidity but all in proportion. Subtle, elegant, and long, showing everything I could want in a good, aged Clare Valley Riesling. Well worth cellaring until now. I wish I had more.
  Good with salmon en croute and, surprisingly to me, with soft blue cheese and also with Stilton. 91+
  Not a wine to drink straight from the fridge.

  The toasty, preserved fruit and lemon on the palate lacks a little freshness. Gritty grip on the back palate that comes across like bitterness; not strong, but it’s there hovering in the background.
