Opened bottle on Valentine’s Day for dinner at home w ribeye, asparagus and garlic potatoes with Bernaise sauce.
The wine has colors deep red and light red on the meniscus. The nose initially reminiscent of port. It is followed by dark baked fruit, eucalyptus pencil soft leather and sweet tobacco.
On the palate similar with a long finish. It is a jammy wine w little acid which throws off the balance. For a wine that is 19 years old very special.

Totally overripe, the overripeness has mellowed a bit with age but this is still very port like. Lacks acid and a bit flabby. Reminded me of caymus…

Nose: Nuts and berries. A little bit of a port fragrance.
Taste: nuts, berries, Oak very smooth. I am very happy that I waited on this one. Very Good

Very good and mellow. Cellaring allowed the cab to smooth out. Very Good.
