i was visiting a new retailer and had to buy a bottle so that he would not think that i was a prowler. i also needed something chilled for tonight. i keep buying wild horse hoping that it is the second label of iron horse even though i know that is not true. no technical flaws here but it is basically a very simple wine. there is a lot of better wine available at this price point. not much else that i can say about this one.

Nose of pineapple, apricots, and creamy oak. Palate was lush and round, coating the mouth with a velvety mouthfeel. Tropical fruits on the palate, with a slightly bitter tinge to the oak on the otherwise nutty finish. Simple, but nice mouthfeel. Picked up for $7.50 and well worth it. Decent QPR up to $15.

Nose: Nice clean melon & citrus aromas. Palate: Melon flavors and good balancing acidity. While somewhat simple this is quite well made. I know this producer more for their Pinot but this shows equal aptitude in Chard. Good QPR at under $10 on sale.
