Dark ruby, nice nose of cloves. Spicy and dry with a raisiny character, bold fruit, lacks acid balance leaving it flat and fruity. Over ripe with high alcohol and no tannins or oak noticeable. It would be good if it did not have that little twist of bitterness and had some zest. Should have drunk earlier, do not save it for later, drink now. Second night; weak nose of cherry, blackberry. Nice medium body with out the raisiny, heavy fruitiness, a touch of Zin flavor and spice. Just a very little not offensive bitterness on the back tongue, alcohol is subdued. Considerably better, a little air did wonders, I will raise it a whole 3 points. Not outstanding, just a nice drinker.

Probably one of the most fragrant wines I have ever consumed. Strong berry tastes with just a touch of oak. Alittle pricey for a daily drinker, but once a month would be very very nice.

Rich, syrupy, how would you know this is Syrah? Maybe a Zin? Whatever. It isn't any good.
