Brilliant effort and perfect right now. Drank this with Mikael, with whom I bought this from Vincent at his domaine, ten years ago. This has fleshed out, integrated completely and has a beautiful aged chardonnay nose, without any hint of oxidation. Clean fruit, with some toasted hazelnuts and grilled lemon wedges, but not too much of anything. We drank this with a risotto and some rotisserie chicken, trumpet mushrooms and a baked cauliflower. The match was beautiful.

Lots of ripe orchard fruit, moderately mature and advanced, particularly for the general character of the vintage. Nicely tasty, but drink up if this bottle is representative.

Very pleased with this wine. It was poured alongside a 2007 Leflaive PM Clavoillon (also in top form), and this Meursault held its own wonderfully. That is quite an accomplishment, given that this wine runs only about half the price. Everyone present thought this showed typicity in spades - this was classic Meursault in all the right ways. Nice lift from those exceptional 2007 acids. But still an inviting fatness that tells you this is Meursault after all. Great mouthfeel. (Note that I posted an earlier note on a slightly premoxed bottle of this wine that was bought at the same time. This one had no hint of premox whatsoever, and showed as young and promising...thankfully!)

(Boyer Martenot Meursault Charmes) #1; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-subtle; citrus peel meets butter, but very light; a little Kiwi on the back-end which is intriguing; PALATE-such a classic wine; a little smokiness and wood action; a sour focused citrus fruit; almost like a star fruit; passion fruit on the mid-palate that I find quite exotic and expressive; very focused; crushed up rock and limestone; the minerality is singing throughout this wine; nice grip on the mid-palate really brings it together; I like the complexity of this wine; also like the subtle butter flavors; this wine should come together very nicely over the next 3-4 years; this is a serious wine that can be put away; also getting a chalky, sheet rock component on the back-end; a beautiful, well-structured and focused White Burgundy; ST-91; GV-92

Wow popped and poured. Drank with tinned Spanish sardines. Man - perfect lemon cream and minerals.
