This has got to be the dryest Petit Syrah that i have ever had the pleasure of drinking. And for a 5 year old too. Nice deep flavors, heavy aromas, and fruity essence. I could have easily called it a Merlot. Nice to drink, but I wonder how much it would have mellowed if I had let it rest for another 3 years.

Nose: (Opened for an hour or so) A little earthy, swampy nose along with a hint of red fruit. Taste: I found the oak to be a little unintegrated. Some red fruit. Tannins are smooth, but a little bitter on the finish.
