Drank at Copake last nite. Nose of red fruit, earth and a bit musty. Medium body, still decent amount of red fruit, but also earth with notes of pencil shavings. Medium to long finish. Tannins fully resolved. Much better than I expected from a 1999

Color was clear, not intense but still dark and deep red. Nose a little reluctant at first but opened up very quickly showing lots of dark fruit, spice, oak and vanilla. Medium bodied in the mouth, good mouth feel, balanced, lots of soft tannins and fruit to counter. Bone dry, with tastes of cherry, blackberries, liquorice and tobacco. I loved it. I dont think this is past prime at all - I thought it showed beautifully, but of course, storage is always a factor in these things. I don't think they'll get any better, either, though, so I'll be drinking up what I have left in the next months while they are still showing so beautifully.

Medium red. Pencil shavings, red fruit, earth and a bit of spice. Delicious red fruit flavours and a long dry finish. Good now but will improve for 5+ years.

Purple color, floral bouquet, the wine has soft red fruit, decent acidity and is very light bodied. The finish is pleasant but very short.
