05880. This needs some air to reveal its signature cherry fruit and rose petal style. Quite a lot of acidity on the back end but not without slightly hard tannin and characteristic Volnay flavors. 93-94

Tasted blind, this wine had a medium red center with light, tawny rims. The medium+ intensity nose offered up violets, cherries, plums, and tan spices.
In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with excellent balance. It showed light tannin, good acidity, and good length.
This was one of those (I find) rare bottles that showed fantastically early (~95) and then lost some steam with air. This is at a peak and I would suggest about 1 hour of air before you start drinking it. Enjoy!

Drinking very well but with further aging potential based on the fact that it developed significantly over 1-2 hours in glass. Already a lovely wine, it built in length, complexity, and volume, opening up to a rich, sweet, voluminous (but not powerful), elegant wine, with notes of pan d'epices and red fruit. Superb.
