  • Still going strong with about 30 minutes of air in the glass. Completely mature, drinking very well, probably slightly over the hill but very drinkable for the next few years with proper cellaring. Soft, completely integrated with loads of fruit left and the merlot really shines through. Very deep purple, initially heavy barnyard funk on the nose which blew off quickly and then the nose was surprisingly spicy with black pepper. Red cherry and baking spices dominated the flavor profile.

  • Medium garnet. Nose showing some level of age, with earthiness and moss, with that familiar red bricky sense that I personally associate with Pomerol. Ripe candied red cherry with rocket leaves and moss, as well as the barnyardy earthy funk. Finished medium at best. Might be a character of Pomerol rather than age

  • Medium garnet, with fading browning edges. Aromas mainly of mushroom, and some purple flowers and cranberry. Some mouthwatering acids, while tannins rounded, with cooked cherry flavours as well as mushrooms, cloves, walnuts, and coffee. Long finish, but somewhat of straightforward nutty feels. Seems to be at the bottom of the hill

  • PNP but needed some time. Actually better the next day. Light, brick color. Nose of black currants and something slightly oxidized (rosebud?). At the palate leather, burnt rubber, hints of dark fruits and chocolate. Not bad at all! Probably slightly over the top. Just realized that the depot is half normal and half tartrate. I didn’t see the later in BDX red wine and wonder, if it was added?

  • This needed 2-3 hours to open up. Very enjoyable mature Bordeaux, bit on the tertiary site, with a sweet and a touch herbal finish.
