(Spring Valley Vineyards Muleskinner Merlot Walla Walla Valley) Pretty herbal aromas mix with cherry, cocoa, and bright raspberries. Lush and full, although a bit astringent at times. Cranberry lingers on the finish. 94% Merlot; 6% other varietals.
(Spring Valley Vineyards Muleskinner Merlot Walla Walla Valley) A much more opened up nose than the previous two with mocha, dark rich fruit, anise, tart cherry, and blueberries. A nose to linger over. Tart with a lot of body. Very enjoyable for the $. 100% Merlot. 14.9% alcohol.

Aromatic and forward with blue and blackberry as the highlights. For me, something didn't come together on the back palate and finish.
